Toll Free:
10 or 11 digits number you need to dial to use the prepaid phone cards, This
number usually start from (1800, 1888, 1877 or 1866).
Local Access Number:
Some Prepaid Calling Cards come with local access for its own city. For Ex. (800
& NY Local Access) <-- It means that you can use either 1800 number (Toll Free)
or you can see the local number to dial instead dialling 1800 number, sometimes
you will get more minutes by using local access depend on the calling card and
the provider.
Pay Phone Surcharges:
You will be charge additional fee's for using phone card thru payphones. the
fee's may varies depend on the service providers. Normally it charge $0.70 -

PINs Number:
This will be the Phone Card Personal Identification Numbers. This number will
come once you purchased the phone card.
FCC:
This stands for "FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION".
Access gateway:
Equipment used to provide the electronic "bridge" from the public switched
telephone network (PSTN) to an Internet protocol (IP) network

Outbound:
Outward Sending - Call Originating - Dialing Out.
Call Data Record (CDR):
Record of a placed call. A CDR includes the time the call was placed and the
duration of the call.
InterLATA:
Communication between Local Access Transport Areas. 1982 MFJ requires LECs to
use an IEC for InterLATA services.
Carrier:
A telecommunications provider which owns switch equipment.
RBOC:
Regional Bell Operating Company. Bell operating companies set up after the AT&T
divestiture. .
Rechargeable Phone Card:
A calling card used which can be refilled with units by the addition of funds to
the calling card account without the purchase of a new card or a new PIN.
